Our Club Philosophy

Seething Flying Club (Wingtask 1995 Limited) operates on a unique volunteer-driven model that keeps flying affordable while building a strong aviation community.

Members don't just fly - they actively contribute to maintaining and operating the airfield, keeping costs low for everyone.

Volunteer Ethos

Instructors, Directors, and Officers are unpaid volunteers who give their time to support the club and its members.

It's a requirement of membership to play an active role in club life.

Membership Options

Seething Flying Club offers various membership options to suit different needs. All members are expected to contribute actively to club life, whether through maintenance, events, or operational support.

Full Flying Membership

Our Full Flying Membership is ideal for pilots who wish to base their aircraft at Seething or fly club aircraft regularly.

  • Unlimited access to the airfield during operating hours
  • No landing fees
  • Hangarage (subject to availability)
  • Discounted fuel prices
  • All the benefits of social membership

Annual Fee: £250

Social Membership

Perfect for aviation enthusiasts who want to be part of our community and contribute to club activities.

  • Access to club facilities including clubhouse
  • Regular club newsletter
  • Invitation to all club social events and talks
  • Discounted entry to airfield events

Annual Fee: £70

Member Responsibilities

Active participation is a requirement of club membership. Our members contribute in many ways:

Airfield Operations

  • Maintain and operate the airfield
  • Man fuel pumps on duty pilot rota
  • Mow grass and maintain grounds
  • Paint runway markings
  • Clean and refuel aircraft

Club Life

  • Prepare food and run the bar
  • Clean the clubhouse
  • Welcome visitors
  • Organise social events
  • Support community activities
